The following frequently asked questions provide further information.

CRITICAL RECALL UPDATE (effective from 30 November 2020):

  • Toyota has recently reviewed the recall status of all vehicles subject to the Takata Airbag Recall Campaign. As permitted by the Recall Notice, Toyota has reclassified all outstanding vehicles under the Takata Airbag Recall Campaign as critical.
  • The change is effective from Monday 30 November 2020 onwards, and applies to any outstanding vehicle under the Takata Airbag Recall Campaign.
  • All vehicles under critical recall must have their Takata airbag replaced immediately, or otherwise face registration sanctions from State and Territory Road Authorities from 1 January 2021.
